FTP Program Description

Dynamic FTP System was initially developed for a few local engineers and architects and was quickly adapted by anybody who needs to transfer large files on a regular basis.
The program concept was to create a platform in which to provide, “An account based controlled environment” for providing FTP access without using an expensive FTP Server, and to eliminate the limitations of email systems as well as to create a user-friendly & self-explanatory environment.
The FTP Program’s main objectives where:
1. Integrated is an email notification system that sends alerts back and forth from client and owner. The idea was to eliminate the need for follow-ups. Meaning that when you place a file in a client’s account the client is instantly notified. When the client downloads this file the owner is instantly notified. No need to make that phone call, “Did you get that file I sent you?” According to Sarasota & Bradenton Architects, “This saves me so much time because find my self making way too many phone calls to find out if someone got my file! If the person is not in and I get a spouse or their secretary on the phone, I may still not get the answer I need! WOW! An email tells me they got it! No Questions Asked! Confirmed! Done deal!”
2. When an account is created, the new client automatically receives an email providing them a link to the system. They also receive their user name and password (Password may also be automatically generated by the system). Accounts may be created in an active or inactive state. Once an inactive account is made active, they get the original notice as if you just created it. This active and inactive state allows you to temporarily disable an account that you no longer need, but don’t want to delete it because is will be used again in the future.
3. The system can provide added security and file encryption by placing it on a host with a SSL certificate.
4. The administration panel allows the owner to access the all clients’ folders with ease. In short, the client’s password allows them to access only their folder. The administration password allows you too access all clients’ folders with a simple click on their corresponding folder icon.
5. Accounts are not limited to just one folder. You may create a directory tree of folders in each account to support multiple transfer concepts from client to owner.
6. You do not need a website to run this program. You only need a web host and a domain name to direct your clients to it, which nowadays is pretty cheap.
